At night they have a tepenyaki chef on. You choose from the options, put it in a bowl and give it to the chef to do his thing.
Nice touch. By far the best part of the entire buffet is dessert. There is a stand pretty similar to the one at the Langham buffet that has small portions of dessert that you can sample, so you dont fill up on one big dessert.
But the winner for me was the soft serve machine! Chocolate and vanilla. All in all a nice place if your hungry but dont want to spend over the top at the other restaurants in the Crown complex.
We waited in the queue for 45 minutes tonight and only managed to move 2 metres in all that time, once it got to 8. Because of the crown privilege seating a lot of people with gold cards or higher were going straight to the head of the queue and getting seated first.
We had dinner here midweek in august and still waited well over 40 minutes to be seated and when we got in the food wasn't very good at all and the deserts were terrible and there was no cream on the pav either.
We had a group work lunch and the food was good value for the price paid. Entry took some time so therefore it appeared that they were not very well organised.
Expect to wait in queues to get your food. Lunch menu includes no Seafood or Teppanyaki as advertised. On a Saturday night we waited nearly 1hr for a table.
The restaurant is extremely busy, especially with large groups. The restaurant is packed to capacity and feels quite overcrowded. We were hurriedly seated and then left to our own devices.
No one explained how things worked, how drinks worked etc. We asked a staff member how the restaurant works, where things were etc.
She could not understand what we were asking. To us, this was not very acceptable. The food however was quite nice. The prawns was great and the roasts were nice and tender.
There were so many desserts to choose from. They were the best part of the whole meal for me. Overall the food was good however the focus seems to be on quantity of guests coming through the door and not on customer service.
Not a place we are likely to return to. We had no problems getting a table for a Friday Lunch. Desserts were mouth-watering from pavlovas to mud cake, beautiful pastries, also lots of individually plated desserts, panacottas, mousse etc.
Fresh fruit platter was refreshing. Own or manage this property? Claim your listing for free to respond to reviews, update your profile and much more.
